Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of StampMyWork ("Service"), operated by The Modelo Tech Solutions LLC ("Company", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

StampMyWork provides cryptographic timestamping and proof-of-creation services for digital creative works. When you upload a file, we compute a SHA-256 hash (a unique cryptographic fingerprint) and generate a timestamped certificate. This proves your file existed in its exact form at the time of registration.

Important: StampMyWork is not a substitute for formal copyright registration with the U.S. Copyright Office or any national copyright authority. Our service provides proof of existence and creation date, which can support — but does not replace — legal copyright registration.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use this Service.
• One account per person. Automated account creation is not permitted.

3. Your Content

• You retain all ownership rights to the files you upload.
• You grant us a limited license to store your files and compute hashes solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
• You represent that you have the legal right to upload each file and that the content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
• We do not review, edit, or claim ownership of your uploaded content.

4. Prohibited Use

You may not use StampMyWork to:

• Upload content you do not own or have rights to.
• Upload illegal content, including but not limited to child exploitation material, malware, or content that violates export control laws.
• Attempt to fraudulently claim ownership of others' work.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service through automated attacks, scraping, or abuse.
• Circumvent rate limits or security measures.

5. Certificates & Proof of Creation

• Certificates are generated based on the cryptographic hash and timestamp at the time of registration.
• Certificates serve as evidence of existence at a point in time. They do not constitute legal advice, legal opinion, or legal registration.
• The strength of a StampMyWork certificate as evidence depends on the jurisdiction and circumstances.
• We make no guarantees about the admissibility of certificates in legal proceedings.

6. Data & Storage

• Uploaded files are stored on our servers for the purpose of hash computation, certificate generation, and future verification.
• You may delete your registrations at any time through the dashboard. Deletion removes the uploaded file and certificate from our servers.
• We may implement storage limits in the future with reasonable notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from reliance on a StampMyWork certificate in legal proceedings.
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any).

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your uploaded files and certificates will be deleted.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
